Soybean in the Classroom (5/21/11)

Funded by the Nebraska Soybean Board and the United Soybean Board, the project began at a Lincoln elementary school. It allows teachers work alongside IANR scientists in the lab to more effectively teach in the classroom, while children learn about one of Nebraska's major crops and become interested in science at an early age -- important because science will create employment and fill the food gap for the growing world population. The project is expanding in Nebraska and into Kansas and Iowa.
